I have a few general questions about Propecia/generic Finasteride. I hope some experienced users can share his experience with me. Thanks in advance.

1. What is the average wait time in months to see improvements in hair ? Is 6-12 months the safest wait time to analyze the results ?

2. How soon does shedding occur once i start taking Propecia ? How bad will this shedding be ? How long will this shedding last ? Is this a one time shed before things improve or will it be a shed that is cyclic and horrible ?

3. Is it possible for a person on Propecia to just experience the shed and see no positive results ? By that i mean, could it be possible that there are few people who are worse off after taking Propecia cos they shed and their hair never comes back cos they might not respond to Propecia ?

4. Sides. What are the common sides that can be expected when taking Propecia if any. Also was this side-effect just temporary or it perhaps never came while you were taking Propecia ?

5. Working out. Will i be reducing the positive effect that Propecia does to my hair if i were to go gymming ?

(1) Everyone is different. Propecia can kick in as quick as one month. Propecia is better at keeping hair than growing new hair. Some people do experience small growth but mainly in the crown area.

(2) For me, no shedding has occurred. As for the cyclic shedding, this comes and goes but is not noticeable at all.

(3) Can not answer this for you. But as stated, this drug is better at keeping hair.

(4) Sides. None. The first 4 weeks you will slightly weird. I felt light headed for 2 weeks, eyes sensitive for 2 weeks, slight groin pain for 1 week. No impotence at all. No shrinkage of the penis either.

(5) Going to the gym or doing any form of exercise does not affect performance. Going to the gym does not cause hairloss either. Propecia will have not affect on performance. If you take any form of steroids, this might affect your body.
