So this seems like an extremely big deal. Does this not bother anyone else? I've been on propecia for almost 2 years and have had good results but it almost makes me want to quit.

Claiming that because 8 finasteride takers got cancer compared with the 1 placebo taker means an %800 risk is laughable scientific methodology.
It's not a big enough sample - it's a single study. Who's to know if the 8 wouldn't have developed cancer anyway. We're talking about old men here, as well, a fact which is conveniently omitted by the article.
It rather reminds me of those articles that pronounce that you're, say 500% more likely to be hit by lightening than be eaten by a shark. Well, I thought, what if I decide to spend my whole life underwater. Then the likelihood of being eaten by a shark is rather higher, and the probability of being hit by lightening is bloody 0 isn't it? Statistics like this don't fulfil a useful function for the average individual, they're just p**rn for statisticians. They might give you an idea of how many people roughly will cop it by lighteningn strike, but they sure as hell won't give you a useful guide to live your life by.

has anyone actually read the study? or have a link to it? you cant trust anything on websites like that as they have their own stinking hippy sell you crushed pigeon sh*t for your arthritis agenda. as i remember from the actual fda results, there is less incidence of prostate cancer when taking finasteride but if you do get prostate cancer then it'll probably be a more aggressive kind
