For some people who have DUPA, DPA or any difffuse hair loss form, donor area can be affected by DHT.

Donor are has half of vertex and frontal DHT levels.

Look at this:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8077349

For protecting donor area from 5-Alpha Reductase activity, everyone has to use finasteride.

Because I lived this problem in the past. My donor area was very thin before finasteride.

And after finasteride my donor area is more and more thicker than its past form.

I will send my before-after pics. My donor are is very healthy than before finasteride therapy.

This article only suggests that DHT levels decreased in all areas of scalp on finasteride therapy . However it doesn't mention any influence in density, hair thickness in donor area.

Please, can you post you photos indicating improvements in your donor areas...
