finasteride w/ grapefruit juice

i have been taking my finasteride every morning with grapefruit juice, after reading many positive posts on this site over a year ago... i know this is an old subject....that has been discussed more than once before. but my concern is i did some reading on medical sites and they had said that.... "if your not taking any medication (regardless of type) with grapefruit juice than not to start, and if you were, then not to stop." there were no elaborations on the subject. long story short , i'm fed up of taking it with grapefruit juice, has anyone done any research into this subject and know of any reason why it would not be ok to stop the grapefruit juice ? im sure it has been done before... with no horribly negative side effects, if any.... its more curiosity than concern. any info would be apreciated...thanks

I'm too tired to explain. Let me just tell you that you can't "overdose" Finasteride with Grapefruit.

i understand that very well...... i havn't "overdosed" taking my dose with grapefruit juice for the past year...... all i wanted to know was why it would be specifically pointed out that if you are taking meds with grapefruit juice, not to stop..... if anyone had heard this before, and if they know why ??? thanks for the response though, its the thought that counts ....right ? :roll:

Maybe, it is not recommended to stop drinking grapefruit because there is a risk of "underdosing" what is in fact a risk for some medications.
