I'm 40 and a serious Norwood-6 male pattern baldness case, so you young guys who THINK you have a serious problem, don't waste your time reading this article as is won't apply to you for quite some time yet until you know the real meaning of male pattern baldness.

I have fine, sparse, light brown hair which means I'm probably one of the worse candidates for hair transplant's. However, I had such excellent results from my first 2 hair transplant's with Follicular Multiplication (FM) that I signed up for a final 2 treatments which I just received last week. I will posting the photo results of those surgeries as well in 4-6 months from now. Right now I'm overseas and have some time on my hands which is very rare, so I thought I'd post some messages on this website in the hopes guy's who are about to do any kind of STRIP or SCALP Reduction techniques...DON'T.

Anyway, I am very satisfied with the FM because I have excellent recovery results in the Donor area which means I can use this area over and over again. Now, I'm far from getting dreads, but I will settle for a nice looking hairline in the front which I should have after this last few treatments. And, no scarring either. That's a relief after having suffered scarring 8 yrs ago with the STRIP technique. At that time it was the only thing out there so I don't hold it against my Doctor but with the advent of FM, those days are over and EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW THIS. Actually, the scarring is the primary reason that I'm having to resort to FM. So, for those looking for transplants, take it from a guy who has had both, don't use STRIP/SCALP reductions...those Dr's typically want your money for quick money. A whole new technology is out there that allows for NO SCARRING whatsoever so that you can retain the quality of your donor area.

I am an Electronics Engineer and work for the US Govt full time with a DJ business on the weekends. But, I'm on this board to help those who might have questions about the huge differences between STRIP/SCALP RED and FM in the hopes of guiding them away from a huge mistake. It is so sad that the media in the USA is putting up such a smoke screen IMO when it is obvious that FM is the smartest hair transplant a person can have until HM comes around. Why isn't anyone talking about it?! You don't have to be a rocket scientist for this one, but it is a best kept secret so far in the USA.

If you want to speak with me about FM or STRIP/SCALP RED techniques feel free to email me. Yes, I'm mad about losing a huge amount of my donor area because of the STRIP technique, but I'm not going to let other guys suffer the same fate if I can help it. Email me if you are in a similar predicament, I have a wealth of information from my experience in hair transplant's. sorry if I dragged on here...typically engineer I guess:)
