Forelock thinning?

I've been taking finasteride for about 5 months now, and have noticed that my forelock (the very middle of the hairline) is thinner than before. Regrowth there doesn't look promising as there are small, very fine hairs there which could be regrowth or miniaturization, I can't tell. The temples, however, are still quite strong, and I'm seeing quite a bit of regrowth. If it helps, I'm a Norwood 1.5 with mild temple recession.

This is creeping me out and I'm sorta tempted to quit finasteride.


Can anyone share any similar experiences or insight?

Yupp its called shedding.Natural process of losing and then growing back your hair.On any treatment like finasteride or minoxidil, yoour weak hair would fall down and new one would grow back stronger.

Yeah but it's been 5 months, so I think I'm past the shedding phase. And what about the new hairs that are thinner than before? Does it normally sprout thin and then thicken up?
