from minoxidil to finasteride

i'm using minoxidil about 6 months ,i saw some benefit ,i plan to start finasteride and stop using minoxidil.will i lose hairs that minoxidil increased?

Finasteride does not maintain minoxidil results. Any hairs that have grown/improved from minoxidil are minoxidil dependent.

Good news:

After going through the nasty minoxidil shed your hair will return to what it would have been if you never used it... It will likely take 3 - 4 months however.

Anybody quit minoxidil while continuing with finasteride and find this to be the case? Forum links? Study links? Assistance for a sceptical optimist appreciated.

yes you will lose hair grown with minoxidil.

why are you going to stop using minoxidil?

I used minoxidil for a little while last year, but stopped using it due no an allergic reaction (Sneezed myself silly). Didn't notice any difference in hair loss/re-growth but was on it for less than two months so that is probably why.
