FUE Hairtransplant at the age of 24

I'll start with apologizing for grammar errors and so on, since English is my 3rd language.
I'm currently 23, but am thinking about getting a hairtransplant next summer, when ill be moving to Denmark/Copenhagen to study (where the hairtransplant clinic is aswell).
I've been using hats/baseball caps pretty much all my life, and only take off the hat if i'm inside, where there's no wind to blow my fringe away and expose my huge receeded forehead.

I am pretty sure most of you will not recommend me getting a hairtransplant at this young age because of not knowing if i will bald more in the future, but hoping some of you had successful hair transplants at a young age.

When i was 19 I started taking 0.5mg propecia a day, and have not missed a day since then. I have pictures of my hair from when i was 20 years old, and can not see my hairloss has progressed any at all since then (and is why i'm even considering a hair transplant, hoping it has stopped).

The cost of the hairtransplant will most likely not be a problem, since i've been saving money up only for this transplant for a couple of months, and will gladly spend it on a hair transplant if it will make me feel comfortable walking outside without hats.

This is a link to the hairtransplant clinic, though, its in Danish. http://poseidon-klinikken.dk/
Link to before/after http://poseidon-klinikken.dk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=29&Itemid=10
And an interview with a guy that has gotten his temples filled in at this clinic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Npwg0Pk9XWw&feature=player_embedded (It's in Danish, but i'm linking this to show (or hope) that this clinic has some credibility)

If there's something that i didnt add, ask away and ill respond.

I'll uppload some pictures of my receeded hairline. I blacked out the face since I dont feel comfortable with having photos of myself on the internet.
Oh, and how many grafts do you think, aproximately, ill need? No need to sugarcoat anything. If you think having a hair transplant at age 24 is a REALLY ****ty idea, then please do tell me. Oh and i forgot to add: the only visible sign of hairloss is my receeded hairline. Ive got lots of hair on top of my head etc.

Thanks in advance.

So what are my alternatives? Buzzcut till I'm sure my hairloss has stabilized? I have pictures and videos dating back to 2010 that show my hairloss has not progressed. Was hoping this way a pro for hairloss having stabilized / getting hairtransplant.

Hi Mate, I can tell you that you are too young for hair trans as I had my mine in my thirties which is adviced by the surgeons... I suppose youbshould wait till you are 30. :(

Thanks for the replies!

I'll try and get some better pictures+pictures of how i normally wear my hair asap.

I remember at a younger age, maybe 14, i was googling if it was possible to lower ones hairline by surgery. A loss of hair didnt even occur to me back then, so ive always had a somewhat big forehead (fivehead?), but it grew bigger haha. Was hoping this was a "mature hairline" or something. But i'm not sure if a mature hairline would have this many smaller hairs? But anyhow, my hairloss has stopped.. for now atleast.. Havent seen any sign of losing more hair for over 3 years, and is this the only reason i'm considering having a hair transplant in the first place, thinking/hoping the hair i have left will remain.. or atleast for 15-20 years when a new hair transplant would be affordable.

Your thoughts? Can the stop in hairloss be only temporary even though i've seen no sign of hairloss for over 3 years? I can upload some old photos aswell for comparison.

I dont want to start a new thread so ill just post this question here:
If I were to start using Rogaine twice a day, would this affect my hair transplant? Should i stop using rogiane after the hair transplant? Or if i were have some regrowth on my hairline, should i keep applying rogaine on my hairline even after hair transplant?

Hey mamor, I have mine scheduled in like 3 weeks. Im pretty much terrified. Im 34 and super afraid of ending up with like this island of hair after my sides might recede more.
How did yours go? Did you have to go get another yet?

As for the OP, I would say wait, see how I feel? Well not imagine that KNOWING you are still going to recede down on the sides more.
