Edit *oral min* not finasteride

Sup guys, new around here but been on the scene for years. 34 year old Diffuse thinner who hopped on the big 3 back in April of 2015 and stayed on them until June 2017. Had no sides with finasteride at all and maintained quite well during those years but didn’t regrow sh*t. Decided I was tired of taking the the meds and buzzed my head. Was married so really didn’t give a f*** but now I’m divorced and back to square one. Well the past year after being off I’ve definitely lost some ground and I’m going full throttle, 10% tugain currently plus finasteride and dermarolling but only .30mm. I know I didn’t grow any hair last time around so now I’m about to hop on oral minoxidil (loniten) at 5mg a day. Not worried about sides I have borderline high BP naturally my whole life. Just ordered a year supply of dutasteride as well but also have a year supply of finasteride I don’t want to go to waste. Thoughts on alternating 1mg finasteride and .5mg dutasteride every other day? Will it be just as effective as dutasteride alone you think? I also just got in my dermapen which I’ll be using at 1.5mm weekly. Thanks fam!

What if you did oral minoxidil along with dutasteride? If finasteride didn't work for you, then it's better for you to just not use it.

I think if anything's going to help you, it's gonna be that 1.5mm dermapen, as 1.5mm is the length used when aiming at regrowth... To be honest, if you lost the hair long time ago, then it will be very hard or impossible to regrow right now. I'd consider transplant (and I will do transplant on myself as well, if my treatment doesn't bring results either). Also, make sure you add Ketoconazole shampoo to your regimen. Helps with results when using finasteride, and has several positive studies regarding hair growth.

Also, as the other poster mentioned, if finasteride didn't help, just quit it. Use dutasteride instead, it's more effective anyway.

Can Dermapen damage hair?
Everyone is different.
Some people are saying they have experienced dramatic hair loss (after trauma caused by dermapen/dermaroller). Some are even saying some of the hair didn't grow back. In my personal experience, if you're this unlucky, you might as well find out now. For me, dermapen is producing results, and I keep hearing from my friends my hairline is improving.

I don't think it can damage hair but my hair sometimes gets caught by the needles and pulled out, not alot of hairs but it happens. As for the OP i think your regime is a good one, keep us updated. As others have said just take dutasteride and ditch the finasteride.

You tried using it on wet hair? I think it helps with the pulling. Except for that, I use the newest A8? dermapen, which I think helps with tearing and sh*t like that.
