I am a little skeptical about trying some new Minoxidil. I know there's a bunch of different types (foam, spray, etc). Which one would you recommend for a first time user??

Thanks for the tips! Do you know anything about the combination of ketoconazole and Minoxidil? I have a sensitive scalp and don't want to irritate it.

If you're using the Keto shampoo (Nizoral) a few times a week, you should be fine with the Minoxidil. I've been using the two together for years with no issues. If you have dandruff or dermatitis, use Apple Cider Vinegar. The stuff completely changed my life. No more itch, no more flakes, no more redness...

How do you use the apple cider vinegar? Apply after shampoo then rinse off? And how often do you use it?

For me, liquid minoxidil (Lipogaine) does irritate after continued use and I have to switch to foam only for a short period (I normally do foam morning, liquid night).

Will look into the apple cider vinegar.

And regarding good minoxidil - as others have mentioned, I've found Rogaine foam to be pretty good. I also use Lipogaine at night. I do get get irritations from the Lipogaine and keto shampoo (I use Regenepure) does help.

Cheers!

I apply the ACV with a dropper just like you would a minoxidil solution. Usually before I plan to shower. I saturate my entire scalp and let it sit for at least 30min. I use Bragg's organic ACV. I suffered insanely itchy, inflamed, persistent seborrheic dermatitis for over a decade. I would constantly itch at my scalp which would always feel oily and sensitive. After using the ACV, ALL of my symptoms were relieved. I used it once a week for the first month or two - just to be aggressive. Now (for the past 3-4 years) I only apply the ACV once a month or so, just to maintain. My years of torment are all behind me. Something to be aware of: for the three days following an ACV treatment - whenever you sweat or get your hair wet - you will smell like a salad. But it's completely worth it. The relief is amazing, if you are suffering from the itching and discomfort that I was. Actually, my father has suffered his entire life from the exact same issue. I told him about the ACV the moment I began feeling relief. Now, he is also free from all of the symptoms that tormented him for nearly 25 years. Definitely give the ACV a try - it's cheap. If it brings any of you the relief it has brought me, you will be happy you did...

Thanks for the run down on how you're using it, people have even made claims that ACV can help in battling hair loss. I've got some of the stuff around (for mixing with bentonite clay), think I'll give it a go. Personally I have an itchy scalp 24/7 regardless of how frequently (or infrequently) I shower.

Nah that was for scrubbing your face with. I've tried putting some ACV on the scalp, haven't had any relief as of yet.
