Partially controlling DHT levels is in itself, not sufficient to combat male pattern baldness in most folks. To read an excellent primer on the mutlfaceted aspects of male pattern baldness, I suggest http://www.skinbiology.com. Very nice job.
My recommendations are:
Add minoxidil 5%--must have to spur regrowth
Use Nizoral instead of TGEL--twice a week for 5 minutes and then rinse.
Folligen Spray, shampoo and conditioner. Skin Biology has details and why this works.
Try this for six months. I think you will be pleased.

Just a lot faster then i would expect. Is there a reason Propecia maynot be working? Does anyone else have this problem? What else can i do? It seems alittle overwhelming all the different things everyone does to try to combat hair loss. Also why do i see notes about people using t-gel? Is it supposed to help? thanks a lot....

The first question that comes to mind after reading your post is where are you buying your propecia, because if you are buying it off the internet maybe you are getting placebos or sugar pills? I have alost been wondering this myself, I bought from this place http://www.cyberdrug.net... and I've been on the proscar (1mg a day) and nizoral for over a month and I haven't noticed anything different, in my hair or any type of side effects....
If anyone else has insight into this or the company I bought my proscar from please let me know. Thanks.

One month will not indicate anything of validity. If you are concerned, get a an RX for proscar and split it. Legit finasteride and lower cost too!

Hmm... everyone is talking about Minoxidil 5%... but where can I get, is there a place to get it on the net for an affordable price? I am determined to maintain my hair, I don't really have receiding hairline just a general loss on the top, but if I style it right it still looks pretty good....

RX does that mean prescription? I'm in Canada.... how am I supposed to convince my doctor to give me Proscar for my hairloss..... I asked my dermatologist before, and she said she no idea what I was talking about (as for splitting 5mg proscar pills) ...she also tried to discourage me as said Propecia has all that libido side effects...

Well, I am sorry for you. I explained this issue to my MD and he wrote an Rx on the spot. Perhaps you should fire your MD and get another?

Both are finasteride. Proscar comes in 5 MG tabs and is MUCH cheaper if you buy it and split it.
