I have missed maybe a 1 week time period(waiting on refills) i think 3 times. Other then that i have taken it faithfully everyday. I have used nothing else. I do use T-Gel occass for dry scalp. Here are my results.
My hairline has receded close to 1/2 inch at the peak, my tempereal area has gone way back and is a lot thinner(skinnier?). It is getting very thin. And overall my hair on the top of my head all the way to the rear of the top has thinned quite a bit. It is way less then half the hair then when i started. I have a brother a couple years younger then me, i am 35, who uses nothing to help hairloss and he and i have about the same level of thinning over the past 2 years. It seems that it is not working for me. All the dermitologists say is that "well, better to take it then not, ya never know what it would be like if you weren't". That is what 2 different doctors said. The hair on top is very "weak" and i can pluck it out with about 1/2 the effort it takes for the sides or back. I have taken digital photos every month or so since i started and when i look at the pictures of when i started to now, It is a graduall loss that i would expect from someone not taking anything. Just a lot faster then i would expect. Is there a reason Propecia maynot be working? Does anyone else have this problem? What else can i do? It seems alittle overwhelming all the different things everyone does to try to combat hair loss. Also why do i see notes about people using t-gel? Is it supposed to help? thanks a lot....

The first question that comes to mind after reading your post is where are you buying your propecia, because if you are buying it off the internet maybe you are getting placebos or sugar pills? I have alost been wondering this myself, I bought from this place http://www.cyberdrug.net... and I've been on the proscar (1mg a day) and nizoral for over a month and I haven't noticed anything different, in my hair or any type of side effects....
If anyone else has insight into this or the company I bought my proscar from please let me know. Thanks.

RX does that mean prescription? I'm in Canada.... how am I supposed to convince my doctor to give me Proscar for my hairloss..... I asked my dermatologist before, and she said she no idea what I was talking about (as for splitting 5mg proscar pills) ...she also tried to discourage me as said Propecia has all that libido side effects...

Is proscar the same thing as Propecia. I see a lot of people say they take that instead, and does it do the same thing Propecia does? I assume it is less expensive. thanks again...
