Hey guys, i’ve been using Dermmatch for about a year now & it’s worked great. It doesnt even look like i’m losing any hair. My hair has grown a bit longer though & it looks great when you’re looking straight at me but to other angles it’s hard to mask the thinning ends of my hair. I’ve attached a few pics to show you guys. Do you guys think hair fibers would work for this? Any response would be appreciated, thank you!

Course they’ll work, and work well but it’s just papering over the cracks. The roots are still getting slaughtered. Still, it will buy you time to save for other procedures.

so you think fibers would be able to cover up those empty spaces I showed? Definitely not as bad as it seems. took those on a bad hair day to show how bad it can get. Though i’m not afraid of the buzzcut, i’m 21 & have got a good hairline just wanna see what i can do with what i have.

yeah but do u think fibers would help those empty spaces in the hair?

Yup. I use this combo and have a perfect illusion of full hair. I get compliments all the time about how thick my hair is... I have sh*t hair without concealers.

well that’s relieving to hear. if you don’t mind, i’d love to run a few questions by you about your experience with concealers.
Which hair fiber do you use?
Does it come off/mess up in water, sweat, wind, or if someone touches it?
What’s ur usual routine w dermmatch & fibers?
Do you think fibers could work on the middle or ends of hair rather than just the scalp?
It’d mean a lot if you could help me out & answer what you can. Thank you so much bro! All love

I use dermmatch first. I've evolved my routine a lot.

I apply it dry around hairline and where I have some coverage. This method makes my hairline look very real and no worries of wind giving away the illusion by showing a painted scalp.

I apply it wet near crown. I also style my hair to help conceal my bad spots.

I use caboki fibers and only put a bit near crown and a little bit near mid section. A bottle lasts me a few months, 4 to 6 typically. The dermmatch does the heavy lifting.

I have been at a concert where it downpoured for 2 straight hours... no problems. Looks very natural when wet, but then it dries kinda off... so need to either redo it or add fibers to remove shine.

Once it is locked in it doesn't come off on hands or from sweat with my method.

Fibers alone will look like sh*t in rain.

If I go on rollercoasters or know I'll be in high winds I use some hairspray. Before this covid sh*t I was going to universal studios in Florida every weekend... I ride everything and never once had an issue. I'm paranoid about it sometimes if I get hit with the wind hard from certain angles, and have my fiancee check, but there has never once been an issue.

I redo it every 2 to 3 days.

I'll give Caboki a try. If that doesn't work the way I want it to, I'll just buzz it and get a fade and just continue to use Dermmatch. Also, what do you use to lock in the fibers? Hairspray? I feel like using that everyday would damage the hair and be a lot of hassle to wash out every night. Please let me know and wish me luck man!

Nothing to lock it in for normal usage, unless going on rollercoasters... then hairspray.

So if I understand correctly. You wash your hair every 2-3 days, so you sleep with dermatch and fibers? Have you had any issues with itching? Also have you ever tried swimming with these on? I know dermatch needs shampoo to really come off so i'm guessing it'll be fine?

Yea, usually every 2 days... rare occasion 3 days. I sleep with them in. Barely any itching...

My wash routine is thorough. Head and shoulders first for scalp. Garnier honey infused for hair, then a conditioner.

I've put it through every test... only comes off with shampoo. I can swim, but on those days I don't use fibers.

It is literally like having a full head of hair.

A little update I buzzed my hair! I'm gonna continue to use dermmatch and buy fibers too. This almost seems to good to be true I hope you're not sponsored by Caboki or anything LOL. Also does it rub off when you put your hands through it? One last question for you my friend if I may. I'm not sure if you workout or anything but how does it work against sweat? Does it drip or look all smudged up on the scalp? Or would that be another rollercoaster scenario where we have to put hairspray in? Thank you for your wisdom bro I really appreciate it!

Lol I wish I was sponsored.. pretty sure caboki is on the expensive end of fibers.

I can put my hands through my hair without it coming off on hands after it has settled in. When I first apply it then it comes off. With fibers alone I cannot comb my hair... but with dermmatch and fibers together I can.

Works fine with sweat... just do not put fibers near hairline... let dermmatch do the work there. I've had toppik come down about an inch during a date a few years ago... embarassing as f***. It is part of why I went back to paying extra for caboki, it has never ran.... but that traumatic experience makes it so I'm very careful about hairline usage now.

I do use hairspray any time I'm expecting to be very active. I use Jason Think to Thick hairspray.

I'll be adding an application thread in about an hour or 2 with pictures detailing my process.
