Hi everyone, I'm Steve, 30 years old, and I've been losing my hair for about 8 years — slowly at first, then much faster over the last 4. I used to think I’d just let it go and shave it all off eventually.
After a recent injury, I’ve been off work for a month and decided to change my routine and give a hair loss treatment a shot. I'm a biologist, so I know the chances of real regrowth are low — even slowing things down would be a great result for me.
This will be my routine, which I started 7 days ago:
I’m not using DHT blockers due to past health issues, and I won’t be trying anything unproven like RU. I know that without addressing the root cause results can be limited, but I believe <<doing something is better than nothing>>.
Any tips on how to improve this routine?
Will post baseline pics tonight or tomorrow!

This will be my routine, which I started 7 days ago:
- 5% minoxidil at night (ordered the foam to try it out)
- Weekly scalp exfoliation with salt + water, followed by oil treatment (rosemary, coconut, argan, olive) — mostly for hydration
- Microneedling with 0.7 mm dermastamp once a week
- 2% ketoconazole shampoo three times a week
