Unless you are really, really sure, I would avoid mutilating surgeries. The future is unknown and diffuse hair loss patterns are likely to start to worsen even where they are moved without significant intervention but if a person wants coverage and can't use estrogen, then the choices are hair transplant or wig. I suggest wigs.

Transplants work best for people with non-diffuse hair loss and small areas of baldness. These folks can at times experience something akin to having a juvenile hairline but most baldness is accompanied by a significant decline in hair shaft thickness and length of growth period but all but invariably also with a general rattiness and decline in hair quality. The mullet is as good as it gets for virtually all white adult males. The hair shaft is unable to grow in smooth as with a female or teen XY where it flows freely in the wind. Men's hair either doesn't move or you invariably end up disheveled in the wind to the point where the wind blowing through even your remaining hair is unpleasant. Anyone thinking of a transplant should look at our friend Son of Sam. He has amazing coverage though....
