Hair Loss: Stay Away From sluthate!

This is my first rant.

I haven't been able to go to a decent thread without seeing this 'sluthate' nonsense. I just found out what sluthate is through a Google search and it's pure garbage and poison.

Why is there so much talking about sluthate? This slutehate pollution is getting out of control here on this forum, it really needs to stop. I've noticed that it really makes a lot of people here bitter when this topic is discussed, it seems to cause a lot of harm. Why is it brought up so much? This is really bringing me down, I can't imagine what the guests and new members think when they see the sluthate trash here on GourmetStyleWellness. We're here to talk about our hair loss and give each other support, not to bring others down.

Stay away from sluthate! It's not a good place.

You can find a lot of truth in the discussions on sluthate though.

If it unsettles you then that's because reality can be pretty grim. of course it's not a positive place but neither is the world we live in.

That website is a breeding ground for depression and hatred. It's a negative environment that comes straight from the pits of hell. And it's not about the whole grim reality outlook that some people relate to as apocalyptic events, but rather how biased that place seems to be.

I've also been told that people come from sluthate to troll us here on GourmetStyleWellness. There seriously needs to be better monitoring if that's the case.

Even if people here stopped mentioning them, they'll most likely still come here to bother us. There really needs to be better monitoring to ban the trolls from that website to keep them from spreading their hatred. This is a hair loss forum, and I've been seeing more anger and hatred than people talking about their alopecia all because of the sluthate toxicity that's taken over.

this place really has never been rainbows and sunshine as far as impact of hair loss section is concerned. trust me, you're new here, but i've been a member for half decade. i see sluthate references here and there, but the influence on this part of forum isn't as explicit as you might think as it's always been a dark place.

as far as monitoring, usually puahate/sluthate members were banned on sight or at least not long after showing up. perhaps mods have taken a vacation from their duties at the moment?

Sluthate is an alternative viewpoint, I dont think they should be banned unless there is some actual deliberate trolling.

I also disagree with OP's claim that "sluthate toxicity" has taken over.

slickbaldguys have another alternative viewpoint, and you will see that forum being mentioned too.

I may be new here, but I'm not new to hair loss, I've been dealing with male pattern baldness since July 2009. If I knew about this place before, I would've joined earlier. I have seen the 'sluthate' references here and there before but I never bothered to care what it was about. Now that I've been seeing more and more of it lately, I think it's becoming problematic. This is a hair loss forum and dealing with alopecia is hard enough as it is, we don't need to put up with any garbage that comes from sluthate and any other place.

CaptainForehead, you may disagree about my claim that the sluthate toxicity has taken over, but it's certainly going to keep getting worse with the direction it's heading if this problem doesn't get taken care of.

I don't know what's been going on lately on this forum, but it really needs better monitoring. Earlier this month, there was a spammer that posted 'I need hair' everywhere spamming all the forum sections, and they also posted pornographic pictures. I couldn't imagine what the newest guests and members were thinking when they saw all that. I know it's difficult for GourmetStyleWellness to keep track of every single spammer, but I think it could do better with where it's at.

usually on the internet, if you read something posted by some guy going on about hating women and having his revenge, 99% of the time it is just some bull****; but the thing with sluthate is that it is more than likely true.

Do you know of sluthate's history? it used to be called PUAhate (people on that forum got desperate enough to hire pick up artists, who ofc don't work, so these people made PUAhate to vent) - but it got shut down as one of their members went on a rampage somewhere in Hollywood and killed a bunch of women from his truck.

These people are seriously messed up and have asbergers IMO; you can tell on this forum just by 2 or 3 lines of their post that someone has come from PUAhate, and they are obsessed with getting every minor tiny detail of their looks "right" - or they are worthless as a human being.

I mean I never cared about the way my chin looks or how my cheekbones protrude. I care about hair because it is such a drastic change to your looks; not having a chin 1cm too small or some BS like that.

Sluthate is interesting. Schitty world view, no doubt. But digging in, looking at the wiki and terminology sections gave me a lot of insight into how some people see the world. Particularly, people in this section.

Don't dismiss things out of hand just because you find them to be vile (or in this case, pathetic). You might learn something about the thought processes of others.
