Juz curious, when u wake up, how many hair do u find on ur pillow?

I will start the ball rolling 1st.

When i juz started Minoxidil 5%, the maximum that i had was abt 20

Since the shedding has stop Norwood, it is mostly around 10
But lucky out of 10, abt 7 of them r quite thick, the rest r quite thin :(

Normal loss before finasteride was 6-8. Afterwards when I started shedding, it would be about 10-20 each morning. Now, with no shedding and finasteride, 1-2 hairs consistant per day.

Very similar to Bone Daddy, though ever since it settled down to just 1 or 2 hairs per day I stopped obsessively checking.

I don't "obsessively check" anymore. Oh yes, I used too.. but now, I just glance really quick because I don't like the feeling of laying on body soil or hairs, it's nasty. I'm way too metro to put up with that sh*t.

When I was in college, this was the first signs I was losing my hair. Every week when I changed the sheets I would have at least 50-100 hairs on my pillow. Even my roomate noticed. This was the first major sign even though I still had a decent head of hair then. This was 20 years ago.

Here is a summary of this week:

Monday- 7 hairs

Tuesday- 16 hairs

Wednesday- 19 hairs (might have been 18, I think I messed up my count that day)

Thursday - 8 hairs

Other than that I don't count hair on my pillow

it's impossible to count all the hairs you shed. i don't know why people do this..especially in the shower. the more you think about hairloss and do these things, the worse it'll be in your mind. you guys need to realize this..

i can conceal my thinning without a problem (luckily). no one knows i'm thinning..and those i tell that i am think i'm paranoid..it's because i conceal it so well. but i think i've reached the point that if i have to shave it , i'll be ok. the thing i do miss, like most of you is to comb my hair like i used to.. nowadays i have to comb it forward. it's ok..but i looked better with it other ways.. but what am i going to do. bitching won't change anything

Obviously people need to avoid becoming preoccupied with their hair, and not counting fallen hairs is a part of this, but a cursory glance at your pillow, or your hands when shampooing, can be helpful in gauging whether or not a shed has begun. As a shed can be a good lead indicator of a successful treatment regime there is some merit in keeping a rough mental note of your daily hair loss - just don't plot it on a giant chart on your bedroom wall.

blue - Dumb and dumber?
