Ok, so how do you go about figuring out what size, color, type to get?

Is there a Wigs for Dummies Book? Seriously, I have been contemplating a wig or hairpiece for the last year and a half and just can't find good, personal assistance. It's not an easy thing for me to walk into a shop and talk about my hair loss. Online ordering would be easy and anonymous if I knew what I was doing!
