Hi to all

Any tips on the front hairline would be most welcome

I have a problem with the first 1 or 2 mm of the lace lifting the rest of the system is ok and sticks well.

I have tried walker supreme white bond but that done exactly as above
I have also tried Walkers ultra hold 3 clear bond and the same thing happened

I have followed the instructions on both glues but always seem to get the same results Lifting at the edge .
Im sure i am not the only one that has this problem so any ideas would be helpful

how soon does it lift after your attachment ? In my case I have never had a glue that lasted 4 days without minor hairline lift, reason why I redo my hairline every 3-4 days. ( exposed hairline...)

Hi Munt, maybe you could try running a line of strong tape behind the hairline about a centimetre back from the edge, and then just gluing that last centimetre. The tape will tape all the stress off the hairline glue, which may give you a longer bond.

Hi all thanks for the replies

Regarding the glues im now going to try Ghost bond Platinum is there any glues which are stronger ?
Regarding the lift normal within 1 day there is work required i have never had anymore than 2 days before it starts to become a real problem. As i ware the pompadour style hair this is somewhat annoying as its also an exposed hairline .
Regarding the tape and glue method that is what i turned to on the last attachment and i used ultra hold 3 as the glue, but this only stayed attached for 24 hrs at the hairline .

Please can some advise the following
  1. How much lace should there be left in front of the hairline ? this was pre trimmed by the hair system supplier
  2. How far past your hairline should the glue go , and how to clean the access glue away without affecting the glue under the hairline.
many thanks Munt

hum... should not lift within one day. make sure you apply glue as instructed and let it cure or dry for 24hr. ( no moisture)
to answer your questions:
1- lace is cut at the hairline, but just before ( a few millimeters) knots start.
2- the glue should meet the lace point, exactly. if you go beyond that and try yo clean excess with alcohol or other solvents, this can or will damage bond ( possibly a reason for you problem)

when I do my hairline, the piece is attached with tape, except the front edge ( 1 CM or so). I use a fine tooth comb and press it along the hairline, into my skin, making holes in my skin. ( markings which go aways in a few minutes) I then lift lace, use clips, then brush on glue along the holes, wait as instructed, then let lace fall back and press it using comb sides. i used to use a makeup pencil to do line, but most times ended putting glue over makeup, making a mess...

Ghostbond Platinum is probably the strongest adhesive.
