Hairloss and testosterone?

Would more testosterone in the body cause faster hair loss?
I've seen couple of people here on the forums showing studies that it makes no change in the hair loss but I'm not sure.

If I increase my testosterone would it affect and accelerate my hair loss? or would it stay at the same pace?

Considering steroids speed up hair loss tremendously in those prone to male pattern baldness, taking T would be a terrible idea. Maybe if,you're on finasteride it would be okay, but even then it's certainly not helping.

The more T you have, the more DHT your body's able to make.

I'm pretty sure taking propecia and T and the same time would be like if you're not taking either of them at all lol, T will add more DHT, propecia would negate some of it and the rest of it will be as if your natural DHT is.

I do wonder thought, if you take propecia and suffer from sides, would taking T solve those sides?

I lost hair on finasteride like I was going through chemo... no f*cking joke. Like hundreds. in clumps. every time i showered. I have been off finasteride for four months, and my libido is still ridiculously high, to the point where it's annoying as f*cking hell. Having a full hard on all through the night sucks. **** finasteride to hell. Primitive sh*t medication.

Are you saying finasteride increased your libido? how is that even possible?

Finasteride pill form made me itch and scratch lots of skin off. Honestly, some of the crap that they put in generics is unbearable.

It is primitive in the sense lots of guys shed. There was one guy in his mid twenties that shed, but he didn't have any hair loss afterwords.

It's funny that people wouldn't link it with shedding, but there are so many pictures on this board that it's proof it's true.

Why exactly does finasteride cause shedding at the beginning?

IMO you could probably argue this one all day. The reality is, after tons of researching it just seems like the arrow points back to genes. There are many people with more testosterone than others that never even thin, different person with same levels is bald by 30. Its all about your follicle sensitivity to DHT, so the real answer is in your genes. Now, I will say it can't help having more.. but if DHT levels don't increase then its a wash. No way to know, unless you want to be someones lab rat for testing.

Of course its genes, and whatever reason hair becomes sensitive to androgens in the first place. That being said if your on this forum im guessing your hair is susceptible to androgens. So increasing those androgens certainly will hurt and not help hair. As of today androgens are the only way to really do anything. Androgens meaning T and DHT both are androgens just the difference in strength for affinity to receptors
So the answer to the question is yes. Yes more T will speed up/increase hair loss if your going bald at all right now.
