Hi I started losing my hair at a very fast rate when I was about 22-23, now I'm almost 40, had 3 hair transplants to varying success. But I noticed now that my hair has stopped falling out, or maybe really slowed down that I can't tell. I figure this has to do with the drop in testosterone. I wanted to start HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) but am worried with the increase in testosterone this will start up hair loss all over again like before. I asked the Doctor and he said some people loss it quick and some don't, which I figure from my history I will probably lose it. I have taken Finasteride when I was 24 and had side effects that made me quit after just 1-2 months. I don't want to have to take that again. What do you all think? Will HRT most likely make me loss my hair again?

My suggestion is to become an avid reader of moreplatesmoredates.com. There’s a lot of great info about TRT with hair loss on that site. DO YOUR RESEARCH. Your endocrine system isn’t a garage band, it’s a harmonic symphony and you need a complete understanding of all the pieces before you go making changes. Once you’ve taken the bull by the horns, though, you can selectively nuke or boost different hormones and basically control your own hair destiny. Just try not to permanently maim yourself
