So, that's the question right in the title. Almost every success story contains one thing: a cessation of scalp itch. My scalp has been itchy as a mofo for the past 3 months and my hair looks like sh*t. My skin and hair is dry and scalp is dandruffy and sometimes itchy. Even my hands and legs are "powdery" dry. So has anyone had success with finasteride even with an itchy scalp?

My scalp itch reduced a bit after starting finasteride but didn't stop until about 3 months in.

If you're using minoxidil with finasteride, it might be the minoxidil causing an itch that is unrelated to the "androgen" itch some of us seem to experience.

Ive been putting some lotion on my head to take the scalp itch away. Been helping a little. Im currently not taking anything to prevent my hair falling out. Im finished with finasteride, that's for sure!

I would like to look more into the properties of papaya. It's supposed to be a magic cure for all things skin related. Ive been eating it more and more and my skin tone hAs improved and my itch has gone away somewhat.

I want to make it into a jelly or cream and just apply to my scalp, to see if it helps. I may just try crushing one up and applying it.

We should try and start a papaya regime and report back to each other. Im sure there's a simple, natural, solution for this out there! It just takes a couple creative minds and a willingness to try things outside the box.

What do you think? Google papaya and skin.

For some reason, i want to think that sperm retention probably will keep more hair your head!
