New member here. I have been going through the forum and notice a lot of people are in panic mode. I just want to say have a good nite or good day!
Also, If you're in your 20 or 30s like me, smash the gym if health permits. Insert yourself into life and not just thinking about inserting into women. Think with the head above the shoulders, not between the legs. Also, anyway to increase your SES, social economic status? Like being an electrician or going to college ( only if getting a skill or certification, like nursing, physician asst. etc ).
TBH if the only problem you have is hair loss, many people would trade that who have PVD( Peripheral Vascular disease ) or Crohns etc. Not saying hair loss is not a problem, however, if that is your only problem, you are lucky is some ways.

I do find it funny that insurance will pay for people's depression and anxiety related to hair loss, but not cover hair loss. Until hair loss gets classified as a Disease, disorder or dysfunction, is when Drs can really make money off of it.
Jak Kinase inhibitors etc...More probable than not, will never be used for male pattern baldness. Reason? It has a black box label warning. To a Dr prescribing it off label, that means potential law suit. View it from their prospective. In my own pharm book for college, it has a black box label.
Also, I have given latanoprost to a few on the cardio vascular floor during my clinicals. Also, minoxidil has a maximum effect of 48 weeks. So, it's not a shocker it can lose effectiveness over time. It doesn't stop the problem. Also, yes, you can induce hair loss with no prior signs of hair loss. My blood labs and experience show that.
minoxidil is a vasodilator. View it like this. If you were washing your car in the spring or summer, if you were to grab and squeeze the hose, how much water would come out? Not much. Now how much water would back up? A lot. So the water pressure would increase. Ok, so now imagine the hose is a blood vessel and the water is blood. That is how a vasoconstrictor works. A Vasodilator works the opposite. It open up that hose, but the water pressure lowers ( hypotension, a side effect to minoxidil ).

Saw palmetto. Upon blood work, did lower my DHT by 20%. ( I took extract, no point any other way ). Now factor in, your hormone levels can change by how you sleep and eat. I do not consider this a good DHT blocker. Also, we are talking serum DHT, not scalp. However, I did have to urinate a little more on saw palmetto. If you don't know how insane I was on blood work, check my first post on here.
Really I just wanted to say I wish everyone well, and Hope you have a good day or night. Sometimes our worst enemy is the one looking back at us......in the mirror.
Just wanted to simply write to everyone, have a good day or night. Get baseline blood work before doing anything. I wish I were writing a cure, but I don't foresee that. So all I can say is have a good day or night. Maybe 1 person can benefit from something in this message.
Also, please don't let your hair loss effect your physical health. When you lose sleep or have anxiety over it, you might be neglecting other parts of you. Which then can have a cascading ( or butterfly effect...for those who seen the 2003 Ashton Kutcher Movie ) of more bad things happen. It's the, "If it rains, it pours", syndrome. 1 Thing happens, it effects you greatly, you neglect other areas, and it feels like all plummets. Sound familiar? Ok. So, now you see that.....now stop. Take care of yourself.
BTW The Hair loss god's Don't like Test! Have a good night or day, wherever you're viewing this.
