Have you ever used a toxicology lab to see what is going on?

I have been on Propecia and Rogaine for about 12 yrs (41 now) and have had very good results when compared to my brothers who did nothing and lost quite a bit. However this last 18 months I have experienced a general shedding and the top of my head and hairline have been hit especially hard.

I have spent a lot of time in Central America for work and am wondering if some change in my environment may have caused it. Do you have a lab or contact in SoCal that you recommend where I could have a hair shaft analysis to see if there is anything other than plain old male pattern baldness going on?

I eat pretty much the same stuff where ever I go, the only real change to my diet in that time has been I switched from using one protein powder to make smoothies with to one called Muscle Milk. It tastes good but has a lot more fat in it, so I just switched back really just hoping that it had something to do with it. For first time in my life I am wearing hats around in public to cover skin showing on the crown and pretty bummed out. Any ideas? Thanks all!

Up until about 18-24 months ago it held out pretty well, was thinner on top and a little crawl over the years but I have lost more in last 18-24 months than the 10 yrs prior. Hair is for sure thinner in terms of individual hairs as well now with each hair looking pretty straggly if that is a word...
