Hello. Thats a very nice site you have here i check it for long time but i havnt tried to open a thread for some reasons. My english is really bad but i hope you understand what i want to say ( you can laugh with my grammar is ok heh ). I am 23 years old . I entered the hairloss land when i was 21.5. Weird thing about me is that i had crown thinning first then my hairline. I started proscar 1/5 every day from 1 July 2011 its like 8 months now and i enter 9. I also started MINOXIDIL with Airol cream and i saw new hair in hairline FOR 3 months total. Then i did one the most stupid thing ever i quit minoxidil cause i had problems like headaches from minoxidil and red skin. i m in 8 month now and i got some questions:

I dont know if its Right translation but i had a light form of seborrheic dermatitis. Like small white/yellow pieces was running out of my scalp mostly on front area not back. Maybe it made damage to me there.


1) Since i started propecia my crown and my temples is better atm it totally stopped hairloss there and also made it better. MY BIG PROBLEM that makes me unsecure is why i got thinner to the frontal area . I got really thin there between 2-3 months. I dont think its shedding from propecia to 6-7 month ( i hope it is ) . What does that mean? i am a bad responder ? Even if i Stopped minoxidil Propecia keeps your hair in all of your head right not just crown right? Why i got so much less in frontal area then... Minoxidil only gives me hair in really front area not between the other thing spots to my head. I dont know if this does matter but i had Low iron and Callium when i did blood tests. Do i have a hope to regrow hair ? since i quit minoxidil before 6 months? Thank you and sorry for my bad english.

Hi! I don't think your english is that bad lol, I can understand the basics of what you're saying. Can't comment on Propecia as I haven't tried but you mention low iron levels in your recent blood test (and calcium?). Just did a quick search on google and there are lots of links between low iron and hair falling. Have you tried taking an iron supplement?

thanks a lot buddy. I bought iron and calcium before some days yea. I ll continue to see if i see anything. Btw do you think FOAm is good? you ever tried it?

Both medicines work all over the head but best at the crown. Frontal hair is alot harder to regrow hair especially if it is aggressive hairloss. Once you stop either of these medicines you will lose any benefit it gave you. The likely situation for you is that both medicines are working but it is hard to work out which is doing the most unless you stopped one which is not a good idea.

hey Ben thanks for the answer. Tell me honestly if someone loses hair so fast in frontal area between 2-3 months but he is on 4-5 month on Propecia can this be shed? Thats where my hair starting to fall out in the frontal area but now i m on the start of 9 month propecia. Those fallen hair should be regrowth but nothing.. So i dont know if i got any chance to cover the bald area in the front.. Do you think FOAM is also good? And you ever tried tretintoin ( airol ) cream? ty

Yes. It would be A lot easier for me to Add the foam than the liquid but all posts i saw they say Foam got an incredible shed.

I did use the liquid last year and didn't notice any difference whatsoever. I haven't tried the foam though. It seems to be a lot more popular so might be worth trying. Bear in mind though the results last for the duration of usage according to what I have read in other posts. What happened with the iron & calcium supplements - did you notice any reduction in hairloss when taking them?

Losing at such a fast rate is not normal and finasteride usually does not cause such an heavy shed. Foam could be beneficial. Ive heard of airol cream but never tried it and know very little of it.

Thats the weird thing. From the middle my Temples my crown area my head is way better than before i started Propecia and stuff. but the Frontal area is getting thinner I dont get it why only there to get a problem and the rest of the head is going nice
