Can somone make it simple for me and just tell me what to take ??

I live in the UK by the way, So medication might be different.

i dont want to take mediction. I prefer the natural way.

I have some saw palmetto to stop the loss.

What can I take to regrow the hair ?

Also, I prefer to take capsules etc rather than shampoos rubbed in, but If i have to, I will take a shampoo.

I live in the UK so I might not be able to get certain brands people talk about.

And, in general, is regrowing your hair back a simple thing ?

The natural way is going bald.
And in general growing your hair back is unlikely.

You need to do some more research.

If you want to prevent further hairloss (and possibly grow some back) you need to start taking Propecia (Finasteride). It has been clinically proven to block DHT (the cause of male pattern baldness).

I tried SP for a year and it did nothing - I don't know anyone who has had success with SP

I think you're in a tough situation, as I was a couple of years ago at your age. With the current treatment methods available, there are no easy solutions.

I think first of all you need to manage your expectations. It's true that some people regrow the hair they've lost, but it's not something you can count on. Stabilization of your current hairline is a much more achievable objective.

Your best bet to do this is to use propecia, minoxidil, and nizoral.

Propecia is generally regarded as the most effective of these three. It's also the most side-effect prone. It can affect your libido and erection quality. Some report "brain fog" and while on it. A lot of users however have no sides whatsoever.

Minoxidil is a topical formulation, which helps promote hair growth and extend the hair cycle. It's generally regarded as not as effective as propecia, but still useful. It can affect some people's blood pressure, and cause heart palpitations and so on, but it's usually regarded as less "heavy duty" than propecia.

Nizoral is a shampoo which has anti-DHT properties, and is just pretty helpful to chuck in the mix. I've not heard of anyone experience sides.

If you want to take the "natural" route, there are some treatments available. I think good results on natural regimens are few and far between, however.

All medications and so on are available in the UK, and in fact the availability for here is not too much different to the United States.

Dont be f*****g lazy everything you need to know can be found on this site, are we supposed to write a detailed essay for every newbie that comes on here?
Nothing more annoying than being asked the same question for the 1000th time.
The more you read the better you'll understand it.

this website is for american users

Also, medicine and treatment is free in the UK, so should I just go to my doctor with a list of the name you provided ?

You're welcome.

As far as I knew the website wasn't "for" any country in particular. It's English-speaking, and everyone who can participate is allowed to.

The NHS offers free treatments, but not fair hair loss. Cosmetic treatment is generally not free on the NHS. You will need a prescription from your doctor if you want to purchase propecia from a walk-in pharmacy, however.

What NORWOOD are you?

You won't get Finasteride for male pattern baldness on the NHS, mate.
You will have to get your doctor to prescribe it, but when you hand it in at the pharmacy, you will need to pay for the medicine (it will be a private prescription).

You can buy minoxidil as branded Regaine over the counter, it costs about £30?
You can source it much cheaper as generic Minoxidil shampoo though (and it looks a bit better on your bathroom cabinet ;))

I don't bother with minoxidil myself, as a) I cba to slather the smelly stuff on my head every day, and b) it can cause shedding and at the end of the day, it doesn't stop further follicle damage

Boots will sell Propecia (Finasteride) over the counter but you must speak with the Pharmacist before they'll do it (the dispensing assistants won't dispense it for you) - you'll have to join their "Hair retention" programme and they'll take your blood pressure AFAIK.

Finasteride is the only good treatment for male pattern baldness imo. Been on it for months, and I've yet to experience any lasting side effects. Nizoral doesn't hurt either :)

I now buy my finasteride as the generic over the net.

I live in the UK so I know people are very accepting of bald people here. I am a buzzed down norwood 3 and it has not affected my social life all that much. I just have to try that little bit harder when it comes to girls.

yes you are right so many men taking this. i used to take these all drugs when im 18 (proscar avodart ..etc.)for 2 years than i quit the whole thing because i feel like different from my past feelings, and other sides.

the sides are very cunning you dont feel that your body or your total face has changed (face swelling: most guy doesnt think that he got that side, me too )

the men who taking these drugs they just get used to the drugs' sides for a long time, their body is trying to keep the balance of hormonal system but it has to change why they want more hair.why they take a little pill for everyday. their livers're killing himself to maintain the body after random shocks after this drug, increases enzymes changes whole body's hormonal levels, filling your body with cortisol, very very high levels of cortisol which that your face is swelling and your body is too oh yes thats because the boobs you made.

at the end of the balacing - this take 3 months - you will be changed, you are not old you, spmetimes try to prove yourself pill is not harmful , sometimes lie yourself and watch your hairline at the mirror then say "yes the pill is working!!" but no. yes the pill works good alot of men were right, it can do its job very well ( re-grow hair)but behind the medal turning you to a different thing.

whatever my first intake of this drug my body shocked and my testicles started to pain like wow!!i had very strange dry eye thing (after i learned that its meibomian syndrome-because of low adrogens in the face and around eye) very long usage ofthe drug your body is overstressed that seen under around the eyes your eyes is like hole beacuse your liver is non stop working.))
all after then i thought like oh no i killed myself im just 18.5, !

im sure that you are not the man you know after you take this drug, there is no gurantee that drug's change is reversible, cause its not natural, its in the synthetic steroid family if you want prove just google it,,,

Woah there Fuggles!!!

For some reason your thread has attracted the crazy nonsense dregs of the forum.

Don't worry and keep heart!

If you're a NW2, there's a huge amount you can do. If you start on finasteride as a NW2, the chance of halting your hairloss is over 90% or so, and regrowing at 60%.

Side-effects are rare. The most common one (less than 10%) are a mild watering of the semen for a period of time (no girl will notice..... you'll be no more watery than a lot of the population) or a mild loss of libido (again, rare).

In the UK, I'd recommend a Proscar generic at UnitedPharmacies.co.uk. Split in 1'4s. Less than £40/year.

Your results are not statistically important nor average/typical.

i would say first GO SEE A TRICHOLOGIST (i usually always say that with good reason)
you can find a legit one here: http://www.trichologists.org.uk/
diagnosing the problem is important because you can have another condition, even 2 conditions causing hairloss

best legit ways to get minoxidil is boots BUT DON'T BUY PROPECIA THERE (they rip you off)
best place for propeicia is http://www.pharmacy2u.com
(though you would have to mail a prescription, that takes time)

the only science that proves nizoral works towards hairgrowth was carried out on MICE so it might work if you're 3 inches tall, have whiskers, a tail and highly allergic to Warfarin
for the rest of us hairloss is a side effect of the drug

don't go for "natural" treatments, nature made you lose your hair, it aint going to help you
