Help neede from guys in uk

Hey guys,

I will be moving to england hopefully at the end of this year. I was thinking of using minoxidil(already using finasteride). The problem is i will be living with a few room mates there. And i dont want them to know about my treatments. I plan on buying them over the internet. So is there a way for them to not know about this? Also how and where is the VAT payed? And will i have to be at home to receive the mail?

Pardon me for my ignorance. But I have never been to England before and have never bought anything over the net.

Any kind of information will b helpful.

--- VAT is paid on purchase of the item, assuming it's bought from a UK website. If it's from abroad there may be a customs charge, or it may slip through as a 'gift' being sent in the mail.

--- With most packages, either someone needs to be able to collect them, or they need to be left in a porch/entryway (if your accommodation has one). Otherwise you'll be left a note and you can collect it from a local post office.

--- You may be able to request discreet packaging for your item.

whenever I've ordered rogaine or kirkland (from ebay) they always come in discrete cardboard boxes.

As I buy from the states, they're normaly labeled up as hair shampoo in for customs purposes.
