Help! I have been using propecia and regaine for the last 5 years and recently, I have switched from propecia to avadart for the past 2 months and I havent stopped shedding ever since... My condition now is really bad...

Does avadart really works?

Avodart is a 5mg dosage of finasteride, I believe. Are you cutting pills into four or five parts? Other than the fact that the dosage is greater, it and Propecia are the same drug.

Ah, that's right, I confused Avodart with Proscar.

Dutasteride will lower serum DHT levels further than finasteride does. It is also more likely to create side effects. I found that it created mild sexual side effects and dried out my skin. For me, finasteride did neither. Whenever you start a different hairloss treatment, you may experience shedding. But shedding, painful though it is, is not the same as permanent hair loss.
