how and when do you know it's time to move on and get hair transplant? I am so sick and tired of wispy hair on the hairline and of hair thinning on top..
My hair is like this guy but a bit shorter on top and front. also very stick straight that won't stay down but goes straight up! it takes me ages to keep my hair in place in the morning....once it's done and looks good under the bathroom light and I get ready for work and I check my hair again in the livingroom mirror before going to work and with different lighting and all, I can see my scalp through my hair:x...then I find myself redoing my hair..again and again.....until it's too late to get to work on time...and I call in sick ...

I feel like it will never end!! ...so exhausted!!!!

I wanted to get hair translpant July last year but thought I would give the Big Three a try for at least 1 year and it's been almost 15 months since and I feel like my hair is getting worse day by day......

thank you guys for your replies! It's just that my daily life is so consumed by my hair and fear of losing it all!!
I am a member of another hairloss forum and people there constantly update their hair translplant experiences and results with pictures..and some of the results are just mind blowing!

problem is only the transplanted hair is resistant to DHT, so other areas will continue to bald meaning that you might end up with weird looking patches of thick hair on the top surrounded by bald areas at the side. So only one hair transplant isn't usually enough - you'll need to go back for more and more, and if you can't afford it, you're screwed. Also the donor area never grows back so you lose hair from the back.

at least I think that's how they work. Even if I could afford it (which I can't) I don't think I'd go down that route anyway

I know how you feel, OP. Waking up is the worst part of my day when my hair looks like a horrible disaster after bed. I have to wash it under the shower every morning for it to look at least a little bit decent. It's ironic that the less hair you have - the more time you dedicate to it: washing it everyday to add some form after it dries up or buzzing it every few days.

I think coming to accept what is never comes easy. Despite everything I ever did to rid acne (diets low glycemic, gluten free, low carb ), natural paths, supplements, and went to accutane which worked but lead me here. Acne is gone but hairloss followed. The big 3 then erection issues or low libido? I lost family to drunk driving and while I'll never understand why, I accept it. I practice cold approach. Hair loss or bad skin is always on my mind but with meditation, I let go. I pulled a few times most recently. I am going to freetour. I am living my life. I guess you can say, I am over being angry, depressed, and sad resisting what is.

I went through that same phase. My hair used to stick out in all these stupid directions and I had to fight my hair to get it to lay down. Man I hated that so much. I see young guys with that same problem and I wonder if it's an early sign of hairloss.

About the transplants, I vote no. hair transplant's are primarily for middle aged men who are only starting to recede a little bit in front and are not ready to let it go.

Well, you're lucky enough that u still have a good amount of hair. I'm not really sure when to start if ur not completely bald yet. I was an NW6, had two hair transplant's(3500 grafts) and nowhere near where I wanna be at. Going for another one at the end of the month and yet another later this year(to make it 6000+ grafts). Even with these it's not gonna be enough. Might be better for u to start now, so u won't have to pay all that money for hair transplant's in a relatively short time, but rather do some every two years.
