How bad is my balding? (And do I have a bald spot?) 19M

what people may find if they do indeed have medicine induced hair loss, is it is actually shedding throughout their entire scalp, its just that it also has the habit of accelerating the reveling of their future Norwood pattern.

So you may have the combination of the two, (the onset of early male pattern baldness combined with accelerated shedding from an antidepressant)

But I'm kind of clutching at straws here, so probably best to wait and see what the professional verdict is next week.
It getting worse seems to have correlated with my medication. I always have little recession patches and patchy sideburns but my last short haircut I got was a few weeks before starting bupropion and 8 didn't notice anything wrong. I'm 99% sure I would have noticed something since I have a pretty bad case of BDD.

Also do you think the hair on my top front has thinned at all or is it impossible to tell? When I got a haircut a week ago the batber told me my hair was super thick so I would imagine it hasn't thinned too much?

Normally If you have been shedding more than usual, then it would be likely thinning a bit, but like you say its probably not noticeable if your hair is already extra thick to start with, in those areas.

If you can reduce the shedding either by eliminating the cause or by treatments, then those area's tend to recover anyway. its usually the hairline that is harder to restore completely.
