How can i get to a good general level of fitness??

iv got the weights side of it sorted, and have done for like 2 years now. but aerobic fitness is just not me, but id like to get fit. whats the best and quickest way for me to get to a good level of fitness?

i mean running? is that the best? i only really want to do a cardio session once a week, as i train each body part once a week too.

I don't know if running is the best form of cardio, but I do a couple of 3 to 4 mile runs a week (hard run, not just going out for a gentle jog) and they seem to be keeping my aerobic fitness levels up.

For the last time: they're not 8" stilettos, they're footwear specially designed to aid the treatment of chronic back pain by means of a gentle walking motion. They just happen to only come in that sparkly silver finish.
