How come more celebrities don't get hair transplant?

In the back of my mind I have figured that if combating hairloss turns out to be futile, then I can always opt for hair transplant. My question is why are there a lot of celebrities (athletes, television personalities, etc.) that are still bald or have receded hairlines? You would think that with all the money they have hair transplant would be an after thought. Any comments?

yeah, not everyone cares and how do you know that the rest haven't already? :)

to be honest, if the main motivation for having nice hair in life is to get girls - who needs hair when you have the cash.

The same reasons why most normal bald guys dont, but for celebrites most are confident enough to not be worried about it or dont want to appear vain. Also a celebrity would need to stay out of the publics view whilst they were healing etc post op.

Bruce Willis has said he will get HM done when it comes out and Moby has stated he would give up all his money and fame for hair, so there are at lease two celebs who don't think a hair transplant can get them adequate results.

If HM will give us 14 years old hair then i'll try to gather all gourmetstylewellness.com members and make a great feast. But the reality is that it wont happen.

The HM. The feast is consequence of that. I'm speaking the truth. I'll save money, go to USA and try to gather gourmetstylewellness.com users in those big houses (that we see in youth movies and series) and PARTY HARD...

I always thought Joel Madden from Good Charlotte looked as though he may have had a hair transplant.... When you compare some of the old pics and videos (i.e. "The Anthem") his hair looks quite receded at the front, yet in some of the newer pics and videos it looks pretty thick.

What do you think?!?!

If I used to walk in a crowded stadium and 50,000 people cheer at me or walk a at a lane full of cameras to the premier of my new movie and hundreds of people scream to get an autograph from me or if I jumped in the concert stage and people were going crazy at my songs, the LAST, LAST thing i would think about is my hair.

So what would you think about? For many people being subject to that type of exposure would make them think about their appearance more than ever.

You have to take into account that movie stars would have to try and stay out of the limelight for the best of 12 months with a hair transplant, the loss of revenue for them would be pretty significant, maybe they just cant 'afford' to do it when you take that into account ?

Joel Madden could be wearing a system.
I dont know about having to stay out of the limelight for 12months, maybe 1 or two months depending on if it was strip or F.U.E.
But plenty of celebs manage to get face lifts and nose jobs.
