How do I accurately track my results/progress?

How often do you take pics?

What sort of lighting?

What kind of camera? Is my macbook's camera good enough?

I'm asking b/c i got on rogaine foam and nizoral like 6 months ago when I had little thinning/miniaturization. I think it has pretty much maintained but i can't tell for sure.
