How exactly does something like this happen?

> Get on finasteride at NW1 with thinning temples, rest of hair is very dense.
> Huge Shed 2 months later, temples disappear
> 6 months later Bald spot pops up in NW6 Curve/shape, getting bigger weekly
> 9 months later still shedding, mostly from sides and back of head
> No regrowth whatsoever of hair shed at beginning

Starting to think getting on finasteride was a huge mistake; hair loss seems to have progressed by a few years.

Maybe it would have happened even if you didn't take finasteride? Maybe you are one of the unlucky ones that doesn't respond to finasteride? Not sure...

I would give it a year and see if I were you. I'm at a point finasteride just doesn't help anymore, but I'm very sure if I wasn't on it I'd still be losing more faster. Supposedly shedding can be a good sign for regrowth. Maybe add minoxidil if you got nothing to lose.
