How long does one month of dutasteride stay in your system?

If I loaded for a week at 1.5 mg, and took .5 everyday after that for 3 weeks totaling a month and then stopped, how long would the drug stay in my system and does it continue to have the same effect for that time as if I was using it?

For example, if I took it during the month of May and stopped, and then I experienced a noticeable slow down in loss and some regrowth starting in August/September before tapering off could it be the dutasteride remaining in my system?

Dunno exactly, heard 16 days somewhere, but who knows exactly. Did you run out, or did you choose to stop?

Thanks for the replay, sorry for the delayed response.

I initially used finasteride for 15 months and had terrible Telogen Effluvium like shedding the whole time (100-300 hairs all over my head every shower), as well as increased oiliness of the face and scalp, acne all over my face and scalp, increased facial hair (beard, nose, cheeks, forehead, earlobes), increased body/scalp odor, scalp pain, burning, etc. Basically, a reflex reaction to anti-androgen's.

I decided to try dutasteride, (loaded the first week at 1.5 every day, then .5 for the next 3 weeks), but dropped it after getting really bad lethargy and brain fog.

However, in the following 2 months after stopping, my shedding began to slow , my scalp and skin where no longer oily, and I experienced amazing regrowth for about two months. I initially credited this to experimenting with RU, but after sticking with RU the shedding started again and I had a terrible 8 month shedding period. I stopped the RU and have been off all Anti-Angrogen's since last March, but haven't seen the improvement that I saw when I got off of dutasteride, and even though I'm not having the same Telogen Effluvium shed anymore, I'm still slowly losing.

I remember reading somewhere that after loading and being on dutasteride a month, it could take something like 2-3 months for it to be completely out of your system, but I can't seem to find where I read that so I might be misremembering. So I'm wondering if the lingering effects of dutasteride was responsible for the great regrowth and less oiliness that I experienced.
