I have read so many different things. What is considered a normal level of hair loss for a person without male pattern baldness each day? 10 hairs? 20?

Thanks guys

1) how many hairs are lost when one has male pattern baldness?

2) How many hairs are lost during a shed?

1) different for every person
2) different for every person

Average hairloss per day is estimated differently by everyone, from 50-100 to 75-150, to 100-200. It really depends who you talk to. If you don't have male pattern baldness, the more you lose, the more you grow back following it. That's really all there is to it.

Edit: And you may grow back all the hair you lose while you have male pattern baldness, but it'll come back finer and shorter, and die faster and faster and faster, such is the cycle of male pattern baldness.

Deaner is right.

There are non-male pattern baldness people who, on average, lose 200+ hairs per day!

The difference is that these people have hair that grows faster than 'average'.

So, it's impossible to make determination of your male pattern baldness status from attempting to count shed hairs.
