How To Quit Minoxidil Without Shedding?

Hello everyone
I've been using Minoxidil 5% for the past 10 years, over the last two or three years it's effect has worn off and my hair is looking worse and worse.
I am at much more peace with my hair loss now than I was 10 years ago, I am finally embracing it and I don't fear it at all anymore, however, I still have a decent amount of hair on my head and I wouldn't want to lose all of it in a matter of months or weeks due to quitting Minoxidil "cold turkey".
What's the right way to quit using Minoxidil without going through intense shedding?

Well firstly it's impossible to know how much of your hair is only there because of the minoxidil. Maybe it's only a little, maybe it's a lot. But this hair will definitely go when you stop minoxidil.

In order to avoid the usual shed that people experience your best bet is to slowly taper your dose over a few months finally stopping altogether. But any completely minoxidil dependent hairs are still going to go.

Caffeine shampoos for sure making anagen phase longer but dunno how long.

Anyway, if you quit minoxidil hairs will fall off within 3/6 months

So there is no option then.
