I wish they'd just do that in California and New York and a few other coastal states and leave the rest of the country alone.

So if "big companies" are nationalized, then the unions will control small business? Which unions? Which "big comapnies"? Microsoft? Nike?
I think they're talking about banks, and the goal is to avoid nationalization. Only far left types like Paul Krugman push nationalization.
