I noticed diffuse thinning on my head.

In 2019 i noticed my hairline getting lightly hit by thinning. I went to a tricologist and he confimerd my front was receding, while the rest was okay. In 2022 i started taking finasteride 1 mg, i didn't notice big changes but i was scared i could get worse.

A month ago i went to my barber, I got a really short (and ugly) haircut and i noticed i could see my scalp in some point. I did have a short haircut other 2 times this year and i didn't notice anything... sometimes i noticed some white spot on my crown on some pics, but i always had 2 cowlicks behind my head so i didn't mind it much... but now it's so clear, if i take pics at sunlight or with flashlight, i can see so much my scalp all over my head and i am feeling bad since it looks like i am one of those who resist finasteride, i even got worse in few time. I have also an annoying itch all over my head

Sorry for the bad quality, but imgur sometimes is whiny. What i noticed is that i always had a lot of gray hair since i was 17, and now those hair are thinning more and more...

Honestly i always struggled with my self image... idk if i like the idea of getting bald. I would like to know if i would look decent at least

Without age information it's hard to say much. The area in front of the ears is better than 95% of men. I don't see much recession yet. The only thing that I see is that your hair appears to be dark and wiry on top which might indicate gradual baldness eventually resulting in hair degradation all over the scalp. Generally, European/Semitic hair that will retain back combing is at risk in my opinion because women's and children's hair won't stay in place like that. Baldness is usually time-driven so you might not be "bald" until you are 60. In my opinion, not just balding males but any male with a full head of air that "just doesn't look as nice as it used to", should consider finasteride to hopefully avoid gradual worsening of both quantity and quality. Trying to think of examples but we see them everywhere without thinking about it but Jerry Seinfeld and his hair loss over the decades is a good example. You could tell during the show that he was beginning to bald but it was slow and gradual over 30 years or so. Then again, popping finasteride is an extra hassle and he still looked okay during much of this period and bagged a hot young Jewish wife with great hair but he's also worth hundreds of millions. Would you rather be Seinfeld or Larry David? You don't appear headed for Larry David type humiliation where he barely has any hair even on the sides of his head. No transplant or other treatment would work for him except a wig.

Sorry I missed the age while scanning.

The things that I mentioned matter because this is not a binary situation tree involving balding versus not balding. The binary situation for Europeans is that of great hair and much worse hair, regardless of hair quantity. The same thing that promotes the destruction of the follicle also seems to affect the quality of the hair shaft in general as well as the length of growth periods. Most men just want hair, granted but they also pine for their adolescent hair and that's never ever coming back, full coverage vel non without estradiol. No other treatment can restore the looks of adolescent male locks. My hair was gorgeous and moved perfectly and I loved it. That's true for most of us.

Let's consider George Wendt, may he Rest In Peace. He had insane coverage and thickness but few females or adolescent males would want their hair to look like that.

Okay, but we can't just go with "let's hope i will be bald at 60 years and not tommorrow", because if i lose my hair in a year, there is not turning back. I will be uglier, even more unwanted by women.

There are pills called Loniten and you need a prescription for these which I have. They do increase body hair everywhere essentially, scalp, brows, lashes, beard and body hair. They also tend to cause significant bloating particularly of the feet when used in large amounts. If you want to try this without having to get a prescription, you can try placing liquid min under your tongue and/or swallowing it. The results seem to be identical to Loniten.

Your hair is fine now for a male, about as good as it gets. finasteride/duta are as good as it gets without risk of feminization on HRT which I reiterate, is not very likely to be cosmetically significant since many MtF's try with all of their strength, intelligence and vigor to have noticeable effects which never come. Nevertheless, unlike the founder of this thread, I have had significant breast growth that cannot be hidden only obscured by sweaters and sports coats which is largely irreversible without surgery. Small amounts of feminization might diminish without estradiol feeding them but full female breasts--ask FtM's--do not diminish with T and estrogen deprivation.
