I have had pretty decent success with rogaine, LLLT, 1% keto and viviscal. I know that the rogaine is carrying the load. However, I have developed hypothyroidism and I have been taking synthetic T4 hormone to correct that issue. That being said, I want to add an anti androgen but I'm not ready for finasteride. I know that my options are basically topical spironolactone or RU. Which is better? Cheaper? Safer? Thanks guys

RU is waaay better. RU regrows my hair pretty good. But on topical spironolactone and revivogen together I saw no major regrowth and was still pretty thin on top. It's a bit pricey but I'd get 3 months out of 5 grams @ 50mg per day for €120. The problem with it is we don't know how safe it is. I don't like using it for this reason. But I'm just trying to save my hair until we get better treatments on the market.

So you still choose this over finasteride? Why?

Man, you can try finasteride for a week and see how it goes.. I just went back on it after 4 months pause.
Was waiting for a complete blood panel + urine to come back (as I was freaking out due to the horror stories, etc).. It all came back normal. With blood sugar, cholesterol and other **** that ppl said finasteride screwed them over, it was way better than average.

Your dick is not going to become a vagina overnight. I'm in my 4th day, no sides. Never had one in 13+yrs.

I actually feel better on finasteride (maybe because spent my whole adult life on it - who knows)..

Always good to say: i'm no doctor, and this should be YOUR decision. :)

Give finasteride a try man... idk how people think finasteride is unsafe and then go ahead and use a discontinued male pattern baldness treatment.. and the fact that it works for some makes me imagine the side effects must have to be super serious.
