I'm I Suffering Hair Loss Or Just Worrying For Nothing?

I just turned 26 and suspect I have started my hair loss process.

I have never even thought about it before but had a beer with a friend in June who told me that he had starting losing hair so after that I started to think about it, actively started counting hairs on the pillow in the mornings etc. Every morning I have 5-15 lose hairs on the pillow. Some longer and some shorter (like if they came from the side/back head). When I shampoo my hair for 15-20 seconds and then look in my foam filled hands I have 2-5 hairs there. If I bend over the sink and ruffles my hair quite aggressively after a full night’s sleep for 20-30 seconds around 20 hairs will be in the sink. At work one or two hairs will end up on my desk every day and I probably lose hairs in the shower, when I towel my hair etc too. In general the hair I lose is a mix of short and long hairs.

My dad lost hair for about five years starting around my age. Though he never lost any hair on the forehead and when he was 33-34 the hair loss stopped and today he is 58 and still has the same amount. So he has lost about 2/3 of the hair in a 4inch (10 cm) area around his vertex but has a perfect hairline. My grandfather on my mother's side had full hair until his mid 40is and today he is 75 and have lost most hair. I, like him, have natural high temples and everyone says I have "inherited" his hair. I.e my temples have been high all my life, but I am worrying that they are growing.

Also, I need less hair vax now to keep my hairline "styled" which could be a sign that the hair is thinner now than say a year ago.

I don't have any pictures of my vertex since before but I took some today, does it look like I am losing hair? Is it normal that you can see that much skin through the hair around the vertex? The pictures are taken an hour after shower and I have no products in my hair.

Super early stages brah, jump on finasteride and minoxidil, there should be a far better option than Finasteride coming out soon.

You are in a good position right now as finasteride and minoxidil should recover your scalp and hold what is left, as mention a better option is on the horizon so don't feel to bad, you just need to worry about keeping what you have until then.
