Im really confused...can some1 help

I've posted before about my hair loss situation. Im still shedding like crazy even though i am not using neither finasteride or min. Its been about 10 months when i first realised I was loosing hair. Within that 10 months I have gone from very thick hair to having thin hair. I lose about 500+ hairs easy when i shower. I am using Nizoral because i used to have a bad dandruff problem. The hairs that fall out are nearly all thick hairs with a blunt end. Isn't this suggestive that it is not male pattern baldness? However i have noticed that i have a few minituarising hair at the front. I have minimal recession, which i have just recently noticed, probably Norwood 1.5 The sides and back of my head are thinning aswell. I had a massive shed in body hair too, which i don't think sheds so much anymore. I lost a lot of chest, leg and pubic hair. My dermatologist said it was Telogen Effluvium but ddnt seem like he knew much about it. He ddnt even bother to check out my hair.

Now I'm really confused dont know whether to start any treatments for hairloss or not?

But seriously loosing that much hair is not normal. I lose like 10 hairs in the shower max. On a bad day 30 hairs (but that is rare)

Does hair fall out when you run your fingers through your hair?

Did this happen after you used nizoral?

Really only 10? WOW...Yeah it just falls out like mad. When i run my hand through my hair aswell. Erm Im not sure if it is because of nizoral or not, i always thought nizoral helped because when i dont use it i get a greasy scalp and get a yellowish layer of gunk on my head. I used to shed a load of body hair too, i dno if it is linked or not.

My shedding has dramatically decreased since using "revita". There are days where I find 0 hairs on my pillow. I do have thick hair, but it still worries me, quite thin in parts.

The reason why you have overall thinness, is because you are just losing too much hair. I have an oily scalp too - in your case get your scalp checked out by another derm...you are only meant to normally shed 100-150 hairs a day.

Oknow, just because you are not suffering aggressive male pattern baldness, does not mean it's not normal. I can easily associate with "LoosingHair". I used to lose 400+ hairs. It's because we have stronger genes.

This is a very rough statement. I believe for most it's actually 30-70, all depends on the person. For Androgenetic Alopecia sufferers they could lose anywhere up to 500 a day, depending on the severity.

My hair is thinning lately decro, it could be seasonal shedding, but yeah I agree I do not suffer from aggressive hairloss; just slight recession.

That said, I lose well below 100 hairs a day, and my hair is not dense at the moment - could be stress related, flu, recovery from op, and seasonal shedding. So I assume that this was normal. I dont want to imagine what will happen if I lose 500 hairs, sh*t.
