Hi everybody, I heard in many and many talk and hirloss forums and discussions, that often when you start a new cure, like finasteride, RU, cyproterone acetate, etcetera, you may experience a big shed due the new hair pushing the old one from the root. I'm pretty sure i even saw a picture in some paper where the new hair is pushing an old one to get out.

My question is.. Is This Real??? Truly maybe an old hair is going away because there is another one pushing from down? Or it is just something that people want to believe to trust in their new cure?

Thanks all

(sorry for my english, i'm italian)

Cannot confirm but as someone who is almost 1 month in on oral minoxidil and milding shedding the concept is comforting. There are people who get regrowth and do not shed at all during their treatment so i dont think thst it is true. However, i do think that if you shed you can be confident your body is responding to the new treatment. Ive been shedding for 2 weeks now and i feel its not as bad as it was a week ago, i hope i get regrowth soon. I do see some tiny baby hairs along my hairline but im not sure if they were there before..
