Is Dermarolling Every Other Day Okay?

Hey,

I started derma-rolling about 2 weeks ago. Have only done it a couple times.

I have an 0.5 roller. It's only a tad painful when I do it, but nothing major.

I was wondering if I should/can increase it to every other day?

If that helps any?

That size roller isn't doing anything but increasing absorbtion of any topicals that you apply, so every other day would be fine. If you're going for wounding then you need to use a 1-1.5mm roller.

Yes it's okay as long as you use a <1mm roller. I use a .25 every other day just to get some redness going before I apply minoxidil.

Also, only use rollers 1mm+ once every 2-4 weeks.

There are 2 different methods of rolling.
1.5mm roller once a week to promote growth factors. There is a study to the process. You'll have to Google that.

The other method is .5mm for absorption.

It's not rocket science but it does have a process and no one knows what is the best method.

Okay, thanks for the answers guys. Look like I have to add the larger diameter.

Im just curious you guys doing the wounding--does it cause visible wounds next day or so? Scabs?
