Hey guys,
I’ve been using foam for 3 months and half already, and honestly I don’t understand what’s going on!! at the 2nd month mark I had so good regrowth on my slick bald crown, and I was so pleased and all I wished was for this new hair to thicken up, unfortunately at this point I lost so many of those new hairs, and nothing is coming stronger in their place! I am not sure if this is a shedding or not! are you supposed to shed new regrowth??? :freak:

Any thoughts or comments are appreciated!
P.S. I am already on finasteride for a year.

This is normal for someone who is responding to minoxidil. Don't expect things to happen overnight....3 months is far from a sufficient timeframe to judge things. You might go through more of it....stick it out and you will probably be rewarded. Give it 1yr+ before you make any assessment.

hairwegoagain, I am wondering that after the follicle shed a hair, how long it will be idle till it reproduce another hair?

I don't think there's a finite answer to your question. All I can tell you is that most folks have experienced what you are experiencing currently, and the hair generally does come back if treatment is continued...and comes back better. It may in turn fall out again, being followed by yet better growth. When you embark on treating male pattern baldness, you need to be comfortable up front that your hair may take a step back before taking steps forward. This may repeat several times (hence my suggestion of riding out AT LEAST a year) before reaching optimum results.
