Is it okay if I start finasteride while I'm losing weight?

I've been doing minoxidil, nizoral, and the occasional microneedling now for the past 7 or so months. Honestly I haven't seen much progress. I've been on a strict regimen (calorie deficit, strength training/cardio, etc) to lose weight for the last two months and have so far lost 10 pounds. I currently weigh 210 pounds (I'm 5'10") and I'm looking to cut down to the 160s/170s range, so I still have a decent ways to go until I reach that goal.

I finally got a prescription for finasteride but I'm a bit hesitant on starting it now because of still being overweight and the chance it may increase sides. So my question is would it be okay to start finasteride now? Or should I wait until I lose more weight? Can I at least start now but microdose EOD until I'm at a more desirable weight and body fat? Anyone else went through the same thing?

Theoretically, you could start using it. Thing is that cutting bodyweight might have its own "side-effects", such as a decrease in libido, feeling tired, etc. In that case, it would be difficult to tell, whether finasteride is the cause of that or not so you might as well end up nocebo-ing yourself.
