Hi everyone,

Hair loss can feel frustrating and confusing, especially with so many treatments out there. One that keeps popping up is PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy—a treatment that uses your own blood to stimulate hair growth. But here’s the big question:

Is PRP really worth it?

Let’s break it down and hear from each other.

What is PRP Therapy for Hair Loss?

PRP involves drawing a small amount of your blood, separating the plasma rich in growth factors, and injecting it into areas of hair thinning. It’s commonly used by dermatologists and hair specialists as a non-surgical option to revive dormant hair follicles.

Benefits People Report:

  • Increased hair thickness and volume

  • Reduction in hair shedding

  • Natural results using your body’s own healing ability

  • Minimal downtime (back to work the same day!)

Things to Consider:

  • It usually takes 3–6 sessions for visible results

  • Not a miracle cure—works best for early-stage hair loss

  • Can be combined with microneedling, Minoxidil, or hair transplant surgery
Recommended by experts at RK Derma – Best Skin and Hair Clinic in Kompally, Hyderabad
They offer PRP under the supervision of a top dermatologist in Kompally and a leading hair transplant surgeon in Kompally, Hyderabad.

Let’s Discuss:

  • Have you tried PRP? What results did you get?

  • How long did it take before you noticed a difference?

  • Would you recommend it—or go for a hair transplant instead?

it`s expensive and a lot of pain.........that`s all......it will do nothing to your hair, like microneedling (i tried both for 2 years...)

Eh. If you've got the dough, you won't make anything worse most likely. That treatment likely works much better for females than for males. I wouldn't expect significant cosmetic results or stabilization.
