Hi guys I noticed that my hairline was receding about 2 years ago, I still have a lot of hair but my hairline has now "widowed peaked" or receded whatever you want to call it, I am seriously thinking about getting a hairline transplant but I am not on finasteride is there any point in getting a transplant if i am not going to be taking finasteride ?
Thank you

Transplant should not be considered in my opinion due to risk reward ratio. Consider minoxidil.

Best course of action in my opinion. If this proves unsatisfactory then consider a transplant but allow a year or so to evaluate.

Any more questions do not hesitate to ask.

I might have a transplant but only if finasteride works. I'd rather be bald than laying down endless money for doctors to keep fixing my hair.

But Minoxidil doesn't work on temples or hairline. hair transplant is the only option.

Minoxidil regrew my hair all over my scalp including the hairline so I can confirm that the above statement is false. Minoxidil works everywhere. The only reason it is sometimes stated that it doesn’t work for the hairline is because in the trials minoxidil was only tested on the crown so legally they could not claim it worked on the hairline. Generally it works better in the crown but minoxidil has potential to work everywhere you apply it.
