Is This Diffuse Thinning Or Just How A Buzzcut Looks?

Recently buzzed my head to take a break from the blow drying, product, etc.

Is this diffuse thinning or just how buzz cuts look under light?

I have attached a couple of recent pics with longer hair which shows no sign of thinning.

Probably how the buzz cut looks. What’s probably happening is that light is hitting your scalp a certain way and it makes it look thinner. What you could do it hold your phone in the same position but have it on video. Then move your head around. if It’s just lighting you will notice the thinning area will look like it filled up and whatever area the light is hitting will look like it’s thinning. But if one area still looks thin even at different angles then you might be balding. I know it’s hard to understand what I wrote but it should be able to tell you if your balding or not.

Buzzcuts will show a lot more scalp, just by the nature of it being a close cut. Yeah, shining light on any part of the scalp will make that area look thinner than it actually is. A video showing light on all parts of your scalp should help.

looks normal to me. wherever the light is hitting, it's going to make that area look deceptively thin. as others have suggested: take a video with flash on and move your head around. If only the area where the light is hitting looks thin then you're fine.

Buzzcut. You would notice it when your hair is longer and your hair looks good and healthy when it’s long so I wouldn’t be concerned.
