Is this the dreaded shed?

Hello, new member here. I recently started taking finasteride January 6th and i have herd it can cause shedding. I just got a hair cut and noticed my right side seems to be thinned out. Its always been a bit thin in this area but it seems a bit more noticeable and farther back along my head now. The length is the same on both sides so i know its not just a poor hair cut. Does shedding begin in this area? Ive looked at multiple posts on forums and cant seem to find much related to my situation.
