More like I find the posts here extremely discouraging and negativey slanted as is the case on most medical based forums where the vocal miority paints a different picture than reality.
For me, I'm going to wait it out a couple months.
I'm a 40 year old body builder who did multiple cycles of steroids and recently tried some heavy sh*t last month that lead to hair fall which is still persisting two weeks after my cycle. Given all the cases of people who recover fully in this instance it would be prudent for me to wait it out a while and see what's what before jumping onto to finasteride or even min.
There is a good chance I have Telogen Effluvium or hairfall from hormonal fluctuations that will abate as I am 40 and this was caused by external factors and not my own biological clock. It is extremely unlikely I will go bald from one bad cycle but I am not ruling anything out, but even if this is Androgenic Alopecia I will probably mostly recover because my genetic programming held on to a full head of hair until the age of 40.
Most of the people on this forum seem to have extremely agressive early stage balding in their 20's which is why I can see the meds not working.
I am not new to medical forums however, and have seen time and time again that they are extremely biased towards the most negative outcomes because people with good results rarely report them.
Six months ago I had a bad reaction to medication and developed blistering all over my body, and forums, not to mention doctors, told me I would be affected for life. I am currently 100% healed from that.
